We aim to enhance the quality of life by providing comprehensive, flexible, and community-based support that promotes recovery, resilience, and social inclusion.
As a client in The Mind-Body Collaborative you will have 24/7 access to a member of the team to address any crises that may arise. Because we meet daily as a team, the person you speak with will already have an understanding and awareness of what may be going on.
Our clinical team is trained in a host of individual therapies including: EMDR, CBT, DBT, Mentalizing, & Motivational Interviewing. Clients will typically be assigned an individual therapist unless they are already working with someone in the community.
At The Mind-Body Collaborative we engage in family systems work with all clients living with family members. This may include couples counseling, family therapy, and for our parents of adolescents and emerging adults, parent coaching. Decades of research demonstrates that positive change is unlikely if family systems are not engaged and supported in the context of treatment.
Clients work together with one of our psychiatrists to decide if a medication is the appropriate choice for them. You can meet with your psychiatrist up to twice a week and this allows for close monitoring of efficacy and/or adverse effects from a new medication.
Through parent coaching sessions, our clinical team will introduce new tools for engaging with their child; support parents with emotional processing and new interventions; and focus on effective ways to stabilize during crisis. This service allows our clients and families to unlock a new way of being.
As a client in The Mind-Body Collaborative we will help you build, or re-build, that sense of belonging in your community through meaningful roles. This may be through volunteering, finding employment, reconnecting with friends and family, or through a recovery community.
Our team of Registered Dietitians (RD) practice from a HAES, weight inclusive, and evidence-based perspective to help support your physical & mental health goals in a way that you can sustain after your time at TMBC. They start by conducting a comprehensive nutrition assessment to better understand how your current relationship with food could be impacting your overall health. From there they will discuss potential interventions that align both with your goals at TMBC and your values.
At The Mind-Body Collaborative, we partner with Integrate Recovery to support to those who have co-occurring substance abuse disorder with primary mental health. Integrate’s Therapeutic Recovery model addresses the root causes involved in our struggles with addictive processes (such as substance use disorder, eating disorders and other behavioral addictions).
